Refined Design, Sustainable Growth:

Yet another beautiful design, the Tower combines natural elements with strong metallic lines, blending a shade material of pressed abaca reed—the pulp of which is often used for paper products—with tall, linear wrought iron supports and cylindrical accents at the top and bottom.

The lamp itself is wired for 4 compact fluorescent bulbs, and is designed to allow access to each socket when it comes time to replace them. Treat the lamp shade as you would any conventional lamp shade, keeping it out of direct sunlight to prevent fading, but otherwise dusting as usual—no special treatment is required in spite of the fact that this is a very special piece.

Note: The harder reed material of abaca is used throughout Eangee's products as stitching to bind the cut leaf shades to other components of the lamps they comprise.

Eangee supports comprehensive fair trade practices that include following up with the artisans who make these products to ensure they receive decent wages, education, health care, and good housing.

Eangee supports sustainable materials in every product, including hand-treated cocoa leaves, abaca rope, nito vine, durian fruit fiber, and found wood.

Dimensions: 11" width, 11" depth, 72" height (6 feet)

Materials:

Shade: Pressed Abaca Reed Fiber, Abaca Stitching

Frame: Wrought Iron, Powder-Coated

The abaca reeds used as lamp shade material and shade stitching are harvested on a regular cycle thanks to the plant's hearty growth and quick regeneration. Similar to bamboo, the reed is cut at the base, and will grow back to maturity in 24 to 48 months.

Illumination:

2 blubs (compact fluorescent recommended); for incandescent bulbs, Eangee suggests 40 watts is the maximum output to use

These products are made in the Philippines by artisans who are responsible for their original design and subsequent refinement. Every piece represents their own industrious creativity.
