why does it seem that I have to wait longer for “green products”?
Even though green companies are burgeoning, materials and processes that go into the creation of sustainable goods can sometimes create longer waiting times. Handcraftsmanship and its necessary attention to detail, materials availability (particularly in the case of recycled goods), and emerging companies with growing demands for their products are why this occurs. We may all practice patience during this time as green products transition to become the norm.

We charge sales tax for items shipped within Maryland.
do you offer and sell gift cards / gift certificates?
Yes! We have introduced the “most sustainable gift card on the planet”. Our “
spend it. plant it.™” gift card is available in the following denominations: $25, $50, $75, $100, $150, $200, $250. We will mail to you the gift card with its own gift envelope. We are currently working on including options to mail or e-mail your Gift Card purchase directly to its lucky recipient.
how do I buy a workingwonders gift card?
Gift Cards may be purchased on our website. Gift Cards also may be purchased by calling our showroom from 11am – 5pm , EST, Monday through Friday.
can I really plant my workingwonders gift card?
Yes! At
workingwonders even our Gift Cards are eco-friendly. Both the card and matching envelope are made from the bark of the Daphne bush, which regenerates naturally, providing a renewable resource. The paper is 50% recycled content, acid free, and furthers the economic enterprise of rural craftspeople in Nepal.
how do I plant my gift card and what will bloom?
Both the envelope and the card (after you use it!) can be put directly into the dirt in a pot or in your garden. Plant seeds no more than ⅛ ” deep, firming soil down after sowing. Seeds must be kept moist for 4-6 weeks and receive at least 4 hours of sunlight each day in order to germinate properly. Many wildflowers are drought tolerant once established, but must receive adequate water as they sprout.
The Gift Card contains a North American wildflower seed mix with 15 annual species (red corn poppy, corn poppy, spurred snapdragon, catchfly, english daisy, showy evening primrose, gold yarrow, roman chamomile, tussock bellflower, foxglove, fringed sagewort, white yarrow, red yarrow, monkeyflower, and creeping thyme) which tolerate partial shade and grow to about 3 feet. Our matching envelope contains a cosmos blend of seeds.
can I purchase other merchandise at the same time as a gift card?
Yes, and we will ship your Gift Card to you separately.
when will my gift card arrive?
Gift Cards are shipped via USPS First Class mail and should arrive within 5-7 business days. Gift Cards can be shipped to any US address. Please

do I have to spend the exact amount on my gift card?
No. If the balance available on your Gift Card is less than the total cost of your order, your card will remain valid as long as there is a balance remaining. If the total cost of your order is greater than your Gift Card amount, you will be asked to provide an additional Gift Card or credit card information.
how do I check the balance on my card?

what if I lose my gift card?
We cannot replace a lost or stolen Gift Card. Treat your Gift Card as cash.

Orders shipped within North America and outside the contiguous United States will incur additional delivery surcharge of $10.00 per shipping address.
When you see the price for an item marked with: ($*) delivery and processing surcharge - then you know that the amount shown is included as additional shipping surcharge.
how long will delivery take?
Allow at least 10-14 days for merchandise delivery, although products may have a longer custom production time. Delivery / Ship time indicated for any product item is based on information supplied by the manufacturer / vendor and may represent "typical" turnaround time, including time of manufacture process and freight delivery to distribution center. Your actual ship time may be earlier or later than estimated at the time of your order. If your order includes a non-custom item that is on backorder (and not immediately available for regular shipping) we will alert you via email with your delivery estimate. Delivery date estimates are good faith estimates only. The risk of loss and title for all merchandise purchased passes to the customer upon delivery of the merchandise to the carrier.
how will my shipment be delivered?
Products may be delivered in multiple shipments. To keep shipping and processing fees as low as possible for you, most items are delivered directly to your home from the manufacturing or processing location. Delivery methods will depend upon the type of item being shipped. Large or heavy items may utilize freight. “White Glove” services, such as bringing freight indoors, unboxing, or packaging material removal, may incur an additional fee at the time of delivery. Most items will ship using UPS or FedEx Ground or Home Delivery services. Street addresses (not P.O. Boxes) are required for these deliveries.

how do I know if it’s the right item for my home?
If you cannot be certain that the product will fit your needs or your décor, please consult with our
Internet Sales and Support Center. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to order products suitable for the intended purpose. workingwonders disclaims all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. Your computer monitor settings may deliver a color or brightness to photos and swatches that do not represent the physical appearance of the products, so we cannot guarantee these attributes with certainty.
can I return my product?
Custom order sales are final and not cancellable.
If you feel your purchase should be returned, please contact our Internet Sales and Support Center, within 14 days of delivery, to request a return authorization and credit; not all requests can be authorized. Any products returned to us without this authorization will not be accepted or eligible for credit of any kind. Return requests for items shipped to outside the contiguous US can and will not be accepted.
Items accepted for return must be shipped at the arrangement and cost of the purchaser, in original un-used/un-opened condition with all original packaging and materials, and will be subject to a restocking fee in the amount required by the manufacturer, which may vary from 15% to 40% of your total purchase price.
what should I do if the item is defective or damaged?
Boxed items arriving to you with obvious shipping damage should be denied at time of delivery, and returned to sender due to damage! Please contact us immediately if this has happened!
Defects must be reported within 5 days of delivery. At workingwonders’ option we shall either (a) refund the price paid for the Product, or (b) bring the Product into compliance or replace the Product. This Limited Warranty is void if the Product has been damaged by accident, abuse, or misuse. If a product is damaged in transit, we will help claim insurance from the shipping company, but this process needs to be initiated within 5 days. No claims can be made after this time.
what if I am shipped an item I did not order?
If there should be an error in your order, please contact us within 3 business days. We apologize for any inconvenience and we will do our best to correct the error, and arranging a return of the incorrect item as soon as possible.
what warranties are in place?
workingwonders passes through to Buyer any warranty made by the manufacturer of the products in effect on the date of shipment from the manufacturer.
